The Gesellschaft of Tanzforschung (GTF) welcomes applications for membership from individuals and institutions that share the society’s aims.

The GTF promotes the close connection between theory of dance and its practise and especially welcomes dancers, choreographers, dance educators, dance therapists and dance researchers to join. However, individuals interested in dance from the fields of journalism, theatre, film, television, art and music are also welcome to join. There are no particular prerequisites for membership. Currently, the Gesellschaft für Tanzforschung has approximately 300 members.

In return for the annual membership fee, members receive the annual book publication Jahrbuch Tanzforschung and the information brochure GTF-aktuell twice a year, which features information for members. Furthermore, members benefit from reduced fees for all events organised by the GTF.
